Meet our Staff

Kathryn H. Dennis
President

Kathryn Dennis serves as President of the Community Foundation of Central Georgia.  She joined CFCG in June 2002 and works closely with the Foundation’s Board, staff, and donors to make our communities stronger and encourage philanthropy.  Kathryn is a native Georgian and a graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in History.  She is also a Leadership Georgia and a Leadership Macon graduate.   She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Southeastern Council of Foundations and the Macon Estate Planning Council, and is the Chair of the Board of Trustees of Stratford Academy.  She is a past president of the Junior League of Macon, and has served on the boards of the United Way of Central Georgia, the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce, the Macon Economic Development Commission, the Macon Rotary Club, the Center for Racial Understanding, the Children’s Hospital, and the Mentors Project of Bibb County.  She is also member of Career Women’s Network and Vineville United Methodist Church.  She and her husband, Brown, have been married for 25 years and have 3 children.

Hazle Hamilton
Chief Financial Officer

Hazle Hamilton became the Foundation's Chief Financial Officer in August, 2000. She is a Certified Public Accountant with over 25 years of professional experience in public and private sector accounting and management.  She holds a BBA degree in accounting from Mercer University, is a graduate of the National Planned Giving Institute of the College of William & Mary, and is a member of the American Institute of CPA's and the Georgia Society of CPA's.  Mrs. Hamilton is a member of the Fiscal and Administrative Officers Group for Community Foundations and served on its Accounting Practices Committee from 2004 until 2007.  She is a 2006 Hull Fellow and a graduate of Leadership Macon.  She has served as President of the Career Women's Network of Macon and Treasurer of the Macon/Bibb County Regional Library Board.

Julia Wood
Director of Donor Services

Julia joined the Community Foundation team as the Director of Donor Services in August 2008. Julia graduated from Mercer University with a Master of Business Administration and the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. Most recently, Julia served as the Director of Communications for Goodwill Industries of Middle GA and the CSRA, where she worked since 2002. She is also committed to serving the community through leadership positions in several organizations including: Downtown Macon Rotary Club, Junior League of Macon, and Vineville United Methodist Church. She is originally from Louisville, Kentucky, and she is married to Lynn Wood, who is a Financial Advisor at Robins Investment and Retirement Services. They have one daughter.

Jennifer Wells
Program Officer

Jennifer Wells has been with the Community Foundation since December of 2007.  She attended Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville where she received her BBA in Marketing, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.  While attaining her degrees, Jennifer was also trained in the art of customer service after working for the Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation for over two years.

Michelle Edwards
Administrative Assistant

Michelle joined the Community Foundation in September 2008, as the Administrative Assistant.  Before joining the Community Foundation, she worked at Yarbrough and Company Real Estate Appraisal and at Northside Mortgage. Michelle is a past member of the American Heart Association Board, where she served as secretary. She is originally from Petersburg, Virginia.
