CFCG's Matching Grant to DonorsChoose.org
In celebration of our 15th Anniversary, CFCG made a matching grant of up to $50,000 to DonorsChoose.org to support the public school systems in the 15 counties we serve.
DonorsChoose.org is a nonprofit website which allows public school teachers to request the exact materials that would help them improve student learning. Individual donors, like you, can browse the project requests and fund the specific projects. When a request is funded, DonorsChoose.org orders the materials and ships them directly to the requesting teacher’s classroom.
The Community Foundation of Central Georgia is sponsoring a “Double Your Impact” matching grant for all projects submitted by public school teachers in Central Georgia. This 50% matching grant will be applied to all projects posted to DonorsChoose.org from full-time, front line employees in public schools in Central Georgia. This funding will activate automatically when other donors join in and fund teachers’ projects!
Projects submitted from the following counties are eligible for the "Double Your Impact" matching offer: Baldwin, Bibb, Butts, Coffee, Crawford, Houston, Jones, Lamar, Laurens, Monroe, Peach, Taylor, Twiggs, Upson, and Wilkinson.
