Kathryn H. Dennis
President

Since June of 2002, Kathryn Dennis has served as President of the Community Foundation of Central Georgia. Previously, she was employed with SunTrust Bank, Middle Georgia for 15 years; her final position at the bank was Senior Vice President of Private Client Services. A native Georgian, she is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in History. Mrs. Dennis is a Leadership Georgia and Leadership Macon graduate. She is a past president of the Junior League of Macon, and has served on the boards of the United Way of Central Georgia, the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce, the Macon Rotary Club, the Children’s Hospital, Challenge for Change, and the Mentors Project of Bibb County. Currently, she serves on the boards of the Center for Racial Understanding, the Macon Economic Development Commission, and Stratford Academy. Mrs. Dennis is also a member of the Macon Estate Planning Council, Career Women’s Network and Vineville United Methodist Church. She and her husband, Brown, have three children.

Hazle Hamilton
Chief Financial Officer

Hazle Hamilton, a Certified Public Accountant, has been the Foundation's Chief Financial Officer since 2000. She is a fifth-generation Maconite with over 20 years of professional experience in public and private sector accounting and management. She is a member of the Fiscal and Administrative Officers Group for Community Foundations and served on its Accounting Practices Committee from 2004 until 2007. She is a 2006 Hull Fellow, a graduate of Leadership Macon, and a graduate of the National Planned Giving Institute of the College of William & Mary. She holds a BBA degree from Mercer University. Mrs. Hamilton is currently Past President of the Career Women's Network of Macon and Treasurer of the Macon/Bibb County Regional Library Board. She is also a member of the American Institute of CPA's and the Georgia Society of CPA's.

Julia Wood
Director of Donor Services

Julia is a new addition to the Community Foundation team, coming on board as the Director of Donor Services in August of 2008. Julia graduated first in her class from both Mercer University with a Master of Business Administration and the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. Most recently, Julia served as the Director of Communications for Goodwill Industries of Middle GA and the CSRA, where she has worked since 2002. She is also committed to serving the community through leadership positions in several organizations including: Downtown Macon Rotary Club, Leadership Macon, Junior League of Macon, Idle Hour Club, and the Macon-Middle GA Tri Delta Alumnae Group. She is originally from Louisville, Kentucky, and is married to Lynn Wood, who is the Investment Executive Vice President for Century Bank & Trust. Their daughter, Eliza Grace, is 6 months old.

Jennifer Wells
Donor Relations and Grants Associate

Jennifer Wells has been with the Community Foundation since December of 2007.  She attended Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville where she received her BBA in Marketing, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.  While attaining her degrees, Jennifer was also trained in the art of customer service after working for the Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation for over two years.  She is an active volunteer at Lockerly Arboretum and Christ Church’s weekend meals program.
